The movie answered the question - What Would Happen If We Reach 100% of Our Brain's Capacity?
I first heard about the 10% theory of brain use in an educational psychology class during my years in college. This theory was part of Dr. William James neurological research in education where he attempted to quantify his learning theories by stating "the average man develops only ten percent of his latent mental ability."
The movie "Lucy" is a reemergence of this theory using the basic concepts of Quantum Physics, Brain Research, and Science Technology Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) to develop a graphical concept to life and our existence on Earth. The essence of LIFE in this movie centers around three themes: LIVING, LOVING, AND LEARNING all about - Who We Are, Where We Come From, and Where We Are Going.
The entire plot for this 1:40 minute movie illustrates how an average man (or woman in this case - Lucy) developed superhuman characteristics from substances embedded in her body. The movie warns of the danger of what could happen if we misuse or "shortcut" the triggers to unlocking the untapped power of the human mind.
The script is well written and focuses on the evil side of man and what could happen if we manipulate consciousness with a "pill" in order to gain power and control over others. The movie has deep religious overtones, describing "LUCY" as All Knowing, All Powerful, and in All Places at the Same Time - with the ability to manipulate time, space, and even the consciousness of man. Spoiler Alert: at 100% capacity, LUCY becomes GOD (a god, or godlike).
This movie is one of the best I've seen in a long time!
I hope you enjoy it as much as I did...
