$12.5 Million AARP Facebook Video Privacy Tracking Settlement

A proposed new $12.5 million class action settlement has been reached in AARP Facebook Video Privacy Tracking Settlement. The claim is that AARP.org unlawfully shared its users’ video viewing activity and identities with Meta (Facebook) through the Meta Pixel tool - without obtaining proper consent, in violation of the Video Privacy Protection Act (VPPA).

AARP denies all wrongdoing but agreed to the settlement to avoid the high costs and risks associated with ongoing litigation.

If you are: 1) an AARP.org member or have an account, 2) watched videos while 3) logged-in to Facebook between September 27, 2020, and September 12, 2025 - you may qualify for cash payout once the settlement receives final court approval.

Payouts are estimated between $47 and $237 per valid claim. You may file a claim at the official settlement website.

Comments: I received my AARP Settlement email on October 11, 2025 - search your inbox under "AARP." You will need both Unique ID and PIN to file a claim. See email below...
