Hello Everyone -This blog is for first time visitors to Topgolf. It focuses on four questions everyone should know before going to Topgolf - What is Topgolf and How Much Does it Cost? With COVID-19 still ragging in the US, Topgolf outdoor seating provides a layer of protection while eating, playing games and socializing. Besides, this was our first contact with our grandchildren since the beginning of the pandemic.
#1 - What is Topgolf and How Much Does it Cost?
Topgolf is a high tech, stadium styled golf driving range with sports bar and restaurant with some of the best food you can eat. Topgolf driving ranges has been in operation throughout the U.S. since 2005. It is head quartered in Dallas, Texas and features multi-level bays that are climate controlled and offers year-round game play. Golf balls at Topgolf contains computer chips that can be tracked with sensors and cameras, thus allowing for viewing on a display monitor. You can track the flight and location of your golf ball for scoring during actual game play.Topgolf Fees for Bay Rentals
Rental fees at Topgolf is by the bay,
not by the hour and depends on your venue.9 AM - 12 Noon $27 / Hour per bay
Noon - 5 PM $37 / Hour per bay
5 PM - Close $47 / Hour per bayTuesdays 9 AM - Noon $13.50 / Hour per bay;
Noon - 5 PM $18.50 / Hour per bay
5 PM - Close $23.50 / Hour per bayFriday and Saturday 5 PM - Close $49 / Hour per bay
Note: Bay rental is first-come, first-serve.
Prices tend to rise throughout the day.

Topgolf also offers lounge seating in each bay along with a table, computerized game console and monitor, numerous golf clubs, and a green area for setting up your drive. During your first visit to Topgolf, the host for your group usually takes the initiative to register all players. If you have privacy concerns, each player may input their own information. You will create a Topgolf account for future game play and will be asked for an email address to receive rewards and offers. Let's get started...1. Select game play time - 30 minutes, 1 hour, 1.5 hours or until close
Comments: Choose short times. It can always be extended later. Do you want the game added to your check? Select 'yes' or 'no'2. Select the start time.
3. Select game: Choose a game...
Comment: Angry Birds and Quick 9 are beginner level favorite games. They consists of basic swinging and hitting golf balls. Jewel Jam is a game for intermediate level players. It allow players to play in a virtual environment.4. Score points by hitting golf balls in a target.
Comment: You get more points if you score closer to the center of the flag. The further the distance, the more points you score.5. Click 'Play Game'
6: Pick the perfect club...
Comment: Golf clubs are provided for all age groups. You may choose a Driver, Wedge or etc.
Golf clubs are also available for lefties. Serious players may choose to bring their own clubs, however this is not required.7. Wave your club over the floor panel sensor and a ball will drop out.
Comment: Each player get 2 hits when it is their turn to hit.8. Place golf ball on the stand and hit it.
9. Stay in control when swinging.
Comment: A safety net is provided in the upper levels should you lose your balance and fall.10. Watch the screen to view the flight of your ball and track the ball location when it has landed.

"If the golf games don't hook you, the food will!" One of the highlights of my visit to Topgolf was the quality and presentation of the food. "Do you want pink?" we were asked by the order taker and server who was assigned to our bay. She helped with the entire visit (from selecting games to selecting golf clubs), each server was committed to making our experience hassle free and enjoyable.
